FAQ for Men’s Therapy
Do I have to bare my soul right away?
Nope. We go at your pace. Therapy isn’t about spilling everything on day one—it’s about building enough trust to actually say the stuff you usually swallow.
Does going to therapy mean I’m weak?
No. Weakness is pretending you don’t need help while you’re quietly falling apart. Strength is owning your reality and doing something about it.
What if I don’t even know what I’m feeling?
That’s fine. A lot of men weren’t given the vocabulary for feelings beyond anger or sarcasm. We’ll work together to make sense of what’s under the surface.
I’ve tried powering through—why isn’t that enough?
Because powering through keeps you isolated. Therapy isn’t about grinding harder—it’s about not having to white-knuckle your way through life alone.
Do I need to be in crisis to start?
No. Most of the men I work with come in before they hit rock bottom. If you’re already asking the question, that’s enough of a reason to start.
